OUR MISSION

Inspired by the vision of St. Francis, and in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church, we extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ to God's people, especially those most in need. We call forth all who serve in this health care ministry to share their gifts and talents to create a spirit of healing- with reverence and love for all of life, with joyfulness of spirit, and with humility and justice for all those entrusted to our care. We are, with God's help, a healing and spiritual presence for each other and the communities we are privileged to serve.

WHAT IS GO PINK 365?

GO PINK 365 is a special project brought to you by St. Elizabeth Physicians/St. Elizabeth Hospital, aimed at increasing awareness for the prevention of breast cancer. The goal of the project is to raise awareness 365 days a year, not just within a certain month.

GO PINK 365.com provides valuable information on breast cancer and other Women's Health topics, including: tips for illness and disease prevention, self-examination guides, illness/disease explanations and statistics and tips for healthy living.

St. Elizabeth is dedicated to improving the lives of women in Ascension Parish 365 days a year. Please join us and pledge to GO PINK 365 days a year!

HOW WILL YOU GO PINK 365?

Anytime anyone discusses raising awareness for a cause, the first question that is often asked is, "What can I do?". The truth is that by taking care of yourself, you are already doing a lot. Talking to your doctor about preventative actions including self-examinations, mammograms, and healthy living are the first steps to helping create a world where cancer doesn't exist.

So spread the word, and let your friends, neighbors, and family know what you are doing to prevent breast cancer from affecting your life. Organize a PINK Party and talk about breast cancer. Hold a bake sale and hand out information on breast health. Perhaps most importantly…talk about it. Don't be afraid to discuss it and make it a topic in a conversation.

• Send out an email to all of the women in your life, and discuss the importance of mammograms. Recommend a physician to them that you are comfortable with, and attach helpful documentation that you can pull directly from our GO PINK 365.
